Five ten-year-olds, from around
the world, are picked by the Kids Next Door Secret Organization to battle insidious adults everywhere! Each operative is known
by their codenames: Numbuhs 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, and they coexist with one another in a tree house which is home to their 2
x 4 technology, weapons, and other gizmos! (Not to mention it's power supply is a million hamsters!)
Each operative has a unique personality (which
is the reason Schlep started watching) and from time-to-time there's little personal squabbles among the group -- but all
that aside, it's one of the most action-packed, non preachy cartoons you'll ever find on Cartoon Network.

The show's creator is Mr. Warburton, Co-writer of the show was Mo Willems,
but according to imdb.com, there may be a new co-writer
by the name
of Andy Rheingold.

General Info about the Cast & Crew: The show also has a very talented team of voice actors: Ben Diskin (Numbuh 1 and Numbuh 2's voices!
Talk about hard work!), Lauren Tom (Numbuh 3, various Rainbow Monkeys, catch her in Bad Santa-- she was hilarious!), Dee Bradley
Baker (he's awesome! He does Four, Tommy, Heinrich, Toilenator, The Big Badolescent, also does voice work for many other shows
as well, not to mention he cohosted game shows. phew, what an impressive résumé), Cree Summer (Numbuh 5, Cree, and also some
other work on Nickelodeon Cartoons, she also has a beautiful singing voice), Tom Kenny (he was Numbuh 30C, he does either
Mr. Wink or Mr. Fibb, various other characters, this guy is funny as hell and he also does Spongebob), Grey DeLisle (provides
voices for Lizzie, the Cat Lady, and Grandma Stuffum, also a singer), Jennifer Hale (Numbuh 86, the computer lady, and a few
others, I think, she was also Billy's mom in Billy & Mandy, an impressive resume as well). I know there's more, but right
now, we can't think of many. If
any of this info is wrong, please let us know so we can change it.
Why
We Love It: If only
these kinds of shows existed when we were growing up! What's cooler than living in a gigantic tree house with no parents
or adults to boss you around, and no rules to follow! You could live with all your friends, take trips to the Moon Base, battle
"evil do-gooders" and adults everywhere, and get revenge on those snotty kids you knew back in grade school.
|
Also, the show is very funny with a lot of humor, and each of the KND operatives are uniquely different: the serious
one, the flirt, the tough guy, the brain, the quiet one. Hopefully this show will be around for years to come!

Summary from imdb.com:
Codename: Kids
Next Door follows the escapades of five eager, yet bumbling, ten-year-olds as they join forces against adulthood to fight
for the right to enjoy all the fun things in life. These principled kids tackle the really important issues facing their peers,
like the right to stay up late or to eat whatever they want. But when taking a stand is just not enough, this crew embarks
on top secret missions on behalf of children everywhere, utilizing fantastic homemade technology like flying machines and
catapults, to accomplish their goals.
Like any good team, the agents in Codename: Kids Next Door
each have their own distinct identities, skills and personalities. Numbuh One is Nigel Uno, the British-accented leader of
the group. Hoagie P. Gilliam, a mechanical genius and expert pilot, is known as Numbuh Two. Diversionary tactics are the specialty
of Kiki Sanban, also known as Numbuh Three. Brash and impulsive Numbuh Four (Wallabee Beatles) is a master of hand to hand
combat. And Numbuh Five, alias Abigail "Abby" Lincoln, is the quiet one with the most common sense. Whether it's the possibility
of getting shipped off to summer camp, battling the imposition of adult swim time at the local swimming pool, or clashing
with adult enemies such as Gramma Stuffum, Knightbrace, Mr. Wink and Mr. Fibb, these kids have their work cut out for them.
